This message is brought to you by Pastor Darryl Morrison
Recap:
Genesis 1:1-2
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Days of Creation:
Summary of Day 1 (vs. 3 - 5): Creation of the heavens and the earth; (universe) revelation of light, light separated from darkness
Summary of Day 2 (vs. 6 - 8): God created the expanse “the sky.” It was created to separate the water vapor canopy from above from the water on earth (at this point the shoreless ocean)
Summary of Day 3 (vs. 9 - 13): The waters on the earth retreated to lower basins and dry land emerged; vegetation covered the dry land–grasses, herbs, and fruit bearing trees.
Summary of Day 4 (vs. 14 - 19): God created the sun, moon, and stars.
Summary of Day 5 (vs. 20 - 23): Creation of the creatures of the sea (fish, birds, etc…)
Summary:
The creation work of God is the manifestation of the words He spoke. Creation is only good when the Creator says so. Creation has a proper purpose and place in God’s plan.Creation can only be blessed by the Creator.
“It was good.”
